Exceedence as part of a wider European consortium have won a Flagship EU Green Deal project. We will also be working alongside another Irish company, Simply Blue Group

We will participate in the €45.7m, 4-year project commencing in September 2021. This is the first project worldwide to demonstrate offshore renewable energy in multi-source offshore parks.
The project consortium European Scalable Offshore Renewable Energy Sources (EU-SCORES) paves the way for bankable multi-source offshore parks across Europe by 2025. Under the project lead of Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC), EU-SCORES will unlock the large-scale potential of wind, wave and offshore solar systems within these parks.

Our financial digital twin software will be deployed in EU-SCORES as a key decision support tool within the consortium for all stakeholders and investors.

Dr Ray Alcorn, CEO of Exceedence “We are delighted to be part of EU-SCORES as it provides our newly released digital twin software “Exceedence Finance” with an ideal demonstration platform amongst a variety of key user profiles. We are also very excited to work with the wider consortium and together with Simply Blue Group, bring the Irish perspective”

Simply Blue Group are a leading early-stage developer of transformative and sustainable marine projects in Ireland, the UK and beyond. Their role in the project is to inform the scale-up process and design of multi-source parks using their experience in floating wind and wave energy project development.

Sam Roch-Perks, CEO of Simply Blue Group, “Simply Blue is delighted to be part of this prestigious project funded under the EU Green Deal together with Exceedence and other consortium members.”

Kicking off in September 2021, the project will build on two highly comprehensive and impactful demonstrations: (1) An offshore solar PV system in Belgium co-located with a bottom fixed windfarm and; (2) A wave energy array in Portugal co-located with a floating wind farm. The € 45.7 million project will run until August 2025 and received € 34.8 million of funding from the European Green Deal in the last Horizon 2020 call.
